February

 1st    5 Star Aerobics

This 10-week program is designed to reward you for the frequency you attend group activity classes. Earn prizes according to the number of stars you earn (10 classes = 1 star). Register on the exercise floor beginning February 1st. Program begins February 1st. For more information contact Jeanne Corey. 

 

1st   “Big Weights, Tiny Waist”  Lecture at 1pm in the lounge

Are you uncomfortable with free weights? Or fear that using them will make you “huge”? Join Kasi for a quick lecture about how lifting heavier weights will help you shed fat pounds, give you more energy, and get you lifting toward the body you’ve always wanted!

 

4th   Zumba Party 5:30-6:30 $10 members; $15 non-members

The 5-5:45 pm regularly scheduled ZUMBA class will be replaced with a ZUMBA PARTY (Led by Heather)!  All fees will go towards a donation to Pancreatic Cancer research, a disease that has affected someone close to one of our own TCC ZUMBA lover’s hearts!

 

ZUMBA for “Dummies” is back…

MONDAY, FEB 8th – 5-6 PM (Led by Danielle)

FRIDAY, FEB 12TH – 1:15-1:55 PM (Led by Heather)

This class will break down popular ZUMBA moves at a slower pace: Salsa, Merengue, Belly-Dancing, Reaggeton & more! Come for a refresher or bring friends who have been too intimidated to try a full-out high intensity class. Don’t worry- you should still expect a low-impact work out! This is a heads up to regulars that these timeslots will be a little different than the ZUMBA class you’re used to.

 

9th - Mar 3rd   New Session of Evening Adult Swim Lessons

Tuesdays & Wednesdays 6-7pm

           

9th & 23rd   Injury Assessments

Do you want to know why that sharp pain won’t go away? Or why that ache keeps coming back? Schedule a free 15-minute injury assessment with one of Health South’s physical therapists between 11:00 and 12:00pm.

 

11th   Member Anniversary Party

 

18th   New Season of Weight Watchers begins

Peel off unwanted pounds. Combine with dollops of self-confidence.Mix it all together in the workplace. Add friends and co-workers for support. Every Thursday at 12pm in the Health Education Room.

     

March

 1st   March Madness

Exercise three times the week of March1st and we will place you on one of the 64 teams in the NCAA tournament. When your team loses, you’re out. Members on the winning team will receive a prize.  Let the games begin! Stop by the fitness desk located on the exercise floor for more information.

 

9                      9th  “Everything you need to know about pregnancy (pre, post & during) and exercise”

Join Kristi Kearney, MS from 1:15-2pm to learn about the most effective exercises for the times before, during and after your pregnancy. Please sign up at the front desk; space is limited.
